MikkeliES organizes a hackathon event, on Friday and Saturday 16th-17th of May, in collaboration with department of electrical engineering and information technology of Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences (MUAS). We will start in MUAS building D, room D131, at 10 am. on Friday.
The MikkeliES Hackathon is an event in which computer programmers and others involved in business & software development, including marketing & sales persons, graphic designers and project managers from various industries, collaborate intensively on software projects.
Hackathons typically last between a day and a week. Collaboration will happen in teams at MikkeliES Hackathon. Teams are formed at the beginning of the event and each team has a team leader who has been orientated to the themes of his/her team. Themes are already chosen by MikkeliES so that there has been some data gathering & progress with each theme in advance.
Teams will work intensively on their themes in short period of time and the result of their work will be a demo or a prototype. At the end of the Hackathon (Saturday evening 17th May) each team will give a presentation on the results of their collaboration and the jury of the Hackathon decides which is the best team.
We have also two interesting presentations at the DeXi stage in the program:
Friday at 1pm.
Toni Mäkinen (Lokkit Oy) & Teemu Partanen (Happo Solutions Oy) speak about IT security in startups.
Saturday at 2pm.
Olli Pelz (Almost Human Oy) speaks about learnings and the best experiences in game business.
Welcome to meet fantastic people and to find out what kind of event the Hackathon really is!
